Calleis Salon & Spa (Cal-ay-is) got its name from Greek mythology. We aren’t alone in choosing our brand. An Italian cosmetic company and a handmade jewelry company chose a slightly different spelling to brand their companies.
Aglaia was the goddess of beauty, splendor, glory, magnificence and adornment. She was also named Karis (grace) and Kale (beauty).
Briefly, the story tells us that Aphrodite and three Charites – Pasithea, Cale, and Euphrosyne, disputed about their beauty with one another. When Teiresias awarded the prize to Cale, he was changed by Aphrodite into an old woman. But, Cale rewarded him with a beautiful head of hair and took him to Crete.
In our family, all girls are princesses or goddesses. Extending this status to each of our clients is our primary goal at Calleis.
If you are interested in joining our team, give us a call or stop by the salon.
